Wow, I wasn’t kidding about the extras in Apple’s Logic being impressive in their scope.  I’m pretty sure I could spend a month just playing with amp models alone.

Sometimes when I encounter this sort of thing (which is similar to wanting to record something and running into a technical or equipment problem – computer won’t boot, diagnosing bad connections, figuring out where the hell that NOISE is coming from) I feel like I’ve been derailed.  Instead of laying down a part or writing something new, I wind up completely losing my thread in the apparently infinite sea of choices for tweaking.It’s almost enough to make me want to just get a portable flash recorder and an acoustic guitar and get rid of everything else.
